Well then. I'm a 32 year old man (it feels strange to write man and not boy) from Norway. I love cars, beer and music.. My name is not Andy, but Andy is close enough I guess, most of you won't be able to pronounce my name anyhow.
I've lost count of how many cars I've had the last 14 years, but I'd say 35-50 or so.. I'm not really sure how many cars I own right now either.. perhaps 9..
Uhm.. so yeah, pretty standard opponaut I guess..
Edit: Forgot something rather important.. I LOVE languages, I'm not fluent in anything other than norwegian and gibberish/drunkspeak.. but I do love languages.

Cars, beer, music? Awesome! Welcome :D
Wow, 35-50! I've owned 3, haha. I'm 26, I've got some work to do.

Actually, it's mostly fake introductions that started as a riff on brnrubber302/countertorquesteer announcing a name change.

You can be a 32-year-old boy ;)
What's your name again?

My real name is Anders.
And I guess I am a 32-year old boy :P

At 32 it's weird to say man? Anyway, it's nice to see someone else who flips cars like I do. In 10 years I have had 20+ cars, and at least 4 motorcycles I can remember. I'm starting to slow down the constant rotation of vehicles and keeping more of the ones I like. The only car make/model I have duplicated is the Datsun 240Z... had a couple of them now in different years.

I understood that :)
But since I post so much gibberish here I thought it would be a good idea to tell oppo a few tidbits about myself.

I have done my fair share of buy a car on monday and sell on wednesday.. It's not like I've had that many cars as projects or daily drivers. But I'd say I've had about 18-22 daily drivers since I got my license (14 years ago).

It feels weird, I feel like I'm in my early twenties.. to me a man is a proper grown up :P
As for cars, I can never decide what I want, so I buy something, then something "better" show up, so I sell/trade.. I have owned more than one of a model myself, but it's a rather strange one.. I've owned 4 Nissan Bluebirds from the mid/late eighties.

Hola fellow "old man"... thirty-something is the new twenty-something. I remember you post looking for car related earrings. Cars, beer, music... I'll recycle the joke. Are you sure you're not me? Just for the sake of off-topic, what genres of music? Former/active musician or just avid listener?
![]() 12/11/2013 at 16:35 |

Genres? Oh man.. Uhm.. Jazz, Blues, Metal, Rockabilly, Rock'n Roll, Punk, old school hip hop, Goa Trance, EBM, Terrorcore, classical music, big band etc.. Let's just say I listen to and enjoy a LOT of stuff.. I can't stand Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and that shit.. and for some reason I don't like Franz Ferdinand or Biffy Clyro..
Avid listener only, I can't for the love of me keep a rythm, but I've got a voice that's perfect for death metal, black metal and I have a ukulele.. :P

Nice spread. Always good to see diverse tastes. I was a musician in my younger years. Had my head completely up my butt about listening to stuff outside my own genera (metal with an industrial twist). I recovered and spent lots of time discovering what I'd been missing. Hmm voice for death metal and a ukulele... I think you know what must be done. YouTube never saw it coming

Anders isn't unpronounceable. Hell, it's an actual Dutch word. It means "different". And no, I'm not making this up.

I know it is, and my name is pronounced quite similar to how you pronounce that word.. But tell someone who speaks English to pronounce it.. they'll cock it up for sure.. :)

There's a guy I work with from Norway.
His name is Oyvind and for the life of me I cannot pronounce it correctly.
Cheers

It's not that hard... imagine saying "but uhm".. that sound the U in uhm makes... THAT is how you pronounce the Ø (what you wrote as O) in his name...
Tell him Norway says Hallo.

Hmmm ok I will try it out. The way he said it sounded something like uoaevind. If that makes any sense.
Also he is back in Norway at the moment. I am sure he is happy to be back in the cold.

uoavind is pretty close as well :P BUT.. what you COULD do is as follows.. just call him Island wind... Øy means Island in norwegian, and vind = wind.
If he's like me I'm pretty sure he loves what many people all the cold :)

On-durs?
![]() 12/11/2013 at 19:05 |

Well.. uhm.. no.. The A is pronounced like how a rather snobbish brit would pronounce the A in arse.. you've got the N right though.. but the D and R is silent, or well.. the N and D is like a double N and the R and S makes it into a SH sound.. Imagine a eastern european saying something like Annesh.
Edit: that's in MY part of Norway.. if I'd been living somewhere else it would be like how the dutch say anders... So I would respond to that :)

Yup. You win. haha

There's a reason I tell most people outside Scandinavia that my name is Andy :P Don't even TRY to pronounce my last name... That said, Bratlie is an AWESOME name if you read it in english :)

I know what you're thinking.. it has been done already.. albeit without vocals...
